When I first met Theresa I was barely
in my teens
She was in her 20’s
at least that’s what she seemed
Theresa
always seemed so young to me
Oh how I miss
you now, Theresa,
You were everything I always tried to be
You sacrificed your life just to teach us
Theresa,
you’re always in my dreams
I was the first of many to recognize her dream
And
so I came to walk beside 100 pounds of steel
Many men have crumbled with much less on their shoulders
Theresa
always seemed so strong to me
Life wasn’t easy with Theresa
There was always more to do than we could do
But we didn’t care if life was easy
We stayed with her because she knew the truth
That Teresa changed the world was the measure of her
wealth
She expected so much of us, but much more of herself
We always tried
to please her, she disciplined with love
Theresa changed the world and she changed me
Oh how I miss you now, Theresa,
You were everything I always tried to be
You sacrificed your life just to
teach us
Theresa, you’re always in my dreams
Theresa, you’re always in my dreams
Theresa
changed the world and she changed me
